This is a special fundraising product I created as a fundraiser for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign.  I have never felt more compelled to support a candidate.  All proceeds from this product will be donated to the Harris Victory Fund through Act Blue.

“You think you just fell out of a coconut tree? You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you,” Kamala Harris said at a White House event last year, and it has become an ironic slogan in support of the vice president as she campaigns for the presidency.

Harris made her “coconut tree” remarks on May 10, 2023 at the White House while swearing in the President’s Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics. Harris spoke about the importance of equity in education policy, noting that not all students are offered the same opportunities to succeed, depending on financial resources and the environments they are raised in. She said “none of us just live in a silo” and “everything is in context,” adding that creating educational equity also depends on providing for the needs of parents, grandparents and communities, before telling a personal anecdote near the conclusion of her speech. “My mother used to — she would give us a hard time sometimes, and she would say to us, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people. You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?’” Harris said, while laughing. “You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you.”

(I found all of the above on a Forbes article)

We all do exist in the context she describes, our access to education, health care, our environment as children, great or hard, these are all circumstances that were determined by others before we could make our own decisions.  This serious topic delivered with a kitchen table friendliness and humor of an Auntie teasing, inspired this perfume oil.

This perfume oil is our coconut oil, complimented by Crimson, a yet to be released oil, being saved for the holidays.

Crimson is a warm floral scent with notes of ambrette, tonka bean, barley, fig, velvety iris, poppy, almond, vanilla, and tobacco.  Think Scarlet Poppy Intense meets Coconut🤎

The combination is lovely, a sweetened, slightly floral but distinctly coconut scent.  Approved of wholeheartedly by all the people in my household, and me, the pickiest of all.  I love it, you will too 💕

This is a .33 oz/10 ml roller ball.

$15.00 of the purchase price of each rollerball purchased will be donated to the campaign every day at least until the election, and possibly beyond, if circumstances call for it.  This product will ship free.

You can sample this perfume, and all of our perfumes before you invest in a larger bottle.  Sales are final.

  • Fragrance samples ship free!

  • Body products and larger size perfumes tend to weigh a little more and will be charged by weight, shipped USPS.

Fruity and Floral Tropical Scent

I like this scent, because though it has a definite coconut heart, there is a notable fig accord along with some flowers. I like how the fruity and other notes put the brakes on the coconut's sweet creaminess. While I probably would not wear this to work, as it is a bit too heavy/rich for the office (imho), I would wear this out at night, and it will be super nice for winter, as it is a warm but not heavy scent.
