Body Products Update

If you have been here a while, you might remember the discontinuation of body products I had carried for years, when my manufacturer abruptly changed their policy to only offering products in 55 gallon drums.

To continue offering these products would have required a warehouse, loading dock and fork lift just to keep offering the body products as we had been.  

The second alternative offered was to have my products bottled at the manufacturer.  This felt impossible at the time because to custom scent products, we mix them with the perfume oils and then bottle them. To recreate this in the quantities the manufacturer would require, was completely out of reach. The minimums of each scent batch with the new minimums would have required much more infrastructure than I could handle and a fortune in perfume oils.  It wasn't a real consideration.

The final element of the decision, in full transparency, is that the body products were always barely profitable.  Because we use the actual perfume oil to scent the products, they were very expensive to make and honestly, we offered them in response to customer demand not because they were a great business decision. You loved them, so we wanted to make them for you! 

This new idea is a compromise, hopefully enough folks can tolerate the DIY nature of it all to keep it going!
