More about catalogs

I sent an email a few weekends ago with a photo of old Body Time catalogs and wondered if you all would like paper catalogs, the answer was a resounding "yes!"

With a few "no, don't bother" replies.

After spending a good deal of time with the catalogs, what became clear is that I'd have to decide what I am offering for at least six months at a time for them to be effective, and plan on having two a year.  I think I think I would not send them to every person because so many people don't use them anymore, but the people who do really would want them!  I will need to figure out how to get catalog requests recorded and maybe some kind of order form for people to fill out - old school style.  A lot to think about!

What would you want to see in catalogs?  The Body Time catalogs had some great photos and story telling, and product description of every single product!  Which thing appeals to you about using a catalog?

I can't wait to hear.

Greetings ~ I went to UC Berkeley and lived on Dwight Way & Telegraph Ave from 1979 and on. I fondly remember going to the Body Time shop admiring all the beautiful fragrances. I still have a few glass containers, one is of Rain. I seems to remember you had Tuberose & White Ginger? I love white flowers. I’m stoked that you’re still in business and I look forward to get reacquainted with your products.

    Best, Dorie
P.S. Look forward to a catalog.

I don’t carry my iPad everyday but I love reading papers books magazines old school way. So looking over a catalog would fit my day on the train.

I would love to see old photos of the Telegraph Avenue store. I started shopping there at around 10 years old. I loved looking at all the “potion” bottles (as I used to call them.) No matter what you put together I’m sure it will be great and I will probably end up framing it and hanging it on the wall to live on forever :-)
